Success Story: Quick Wins
HER CHALLENGES:
- Career change
- Lower GPA & LSAT score
WHY KATELYN CAME TO TLSC
Katelyn faced some significant challenges with her law school admissions goals: she had a 2.7 GPA from undergrad and wanted to stay in a very specific geographic area, which left her with realistically only two law schools to apply to. She knew her application needed to show law schools that she was more than just her GPA.
HOW TLSC MADE IT POSSIBLE
Katelyn came to TLSC assuming she didn’t have much to write about beyond her career–a story narrative that wouldn’t have made her stand out. But after going through our signature brainstorming process we were able to identify what she called her “niche” characteristics and experiences that not only made her stand out, but spoke to exactly what law schools were looking for.
Results
Katelyn got into her top two schools both with full tuition scholarships, despite her GPA and LSAT falling below the schools’ medians.
- University of Nebraska College of Law, with a full tuition scholarship, despite her 2.7 GPA being significantly lower than their 3.64 median and her LSAT score falling below the school’s median.
- Creighton University School of Law, with a full tuition scholarship, despite her GPA being significantly below the school’s median.
